Short answer: choose a trailer when you have 150 or more guests in one area, a summer or late-night event, a hose bib and spare outlet, and firm ground for the truck. Choose flushing deluxe units when any of those is missing, or when restrooms need to be in more than one spot.

Start with the venue, not the wish list
Families often fall for the trailer first. The deciding factors, though, are on the property: water, power, ground and truck access. Walk the site with these four questions before you choose.
Four questions about the site
- Is there a working hose bib, and how far away? The trailer’s hose has to reach it.
- Is there a 110-volt outlet on a circuit nobody else will load up? Catering warmers and DJ gear often share circuits.
- Can a pickup back a 19-foot trailer to the spot? Watch for gates, tight turns, low branches and acequia crossings.
- Is the ground firm and level? Soft sand and fresh monsoon mud stop trucks.
How they compare
| Flushing deluxe units | Two-stall trailer | |
|---|---|---|
| Feels like | A clean, upgraded portable toilet | An indoor restroom |
| Cooling | Roof vent | Air conditioning |
| Needs | Nothing | Hose bib, 110 V, truck access |
| Placement | Anywhere a dolly rolls, several spots | One spot near hookups |
| Accessible | Pair with an ADA unit | Steps; pair with an ADA unit |
| Recent price | Quoted per unit | $2,500 for an event |
Guest count and heat
Up to about 150 guests, two or three deluxe units handle a five-hour reception well. Past that, or in a July afternoon, the trailer’s air conditioning and larger tanks pay off. The four-station trailer handles roughly 350 guests at a long reception.
The mix many families choose
A trailer by the reception tent for guests, an ADA unit beside it on the same path, and a standard unit behind the kitchen for staff. That covers comfort, accessibility and the people who work all day without crowding the trailer.
What to send us
Guest count, start and end times, the address, photos of the spot, and where the hose bib and outlet are. With that we can tell you quickly whether a trailer will work and price both options.
